What to Expect
You will learn how to identify and help others who might need your assistance and how to prevent issues from arising while scuba diving. Rescue Diver academics are completed online and the dives can be completed on one of our local dive trips. You need to be CPR/AED/First Aid qualified to complete the course, we offer this at Island Hoppers for $80.
Rescue Diver Certification
You can start your Rescue Diver scuba lessons at anytime online! Rescue Diver is designed to teach you how to better manage yourself while scuba diving, recognize when others may need your help, and how to properly respond. Everyone who has completed Rescue Diver says it was the most rewarding program that they have done and that the program increased their comfort level while diving. The dives will be completed over 2 days and you will learn to respond to 10 different rescue situations.
The online portion is $224 and the dive portion is $199. This covers all dives, rescue slate, pocket mask, and tank rentals. GET STARTED NOW! Just click on the button to take you to the e-learning program!
CPR/AED/First Aid
You will need to have a current CPR/AED certification to complete the program. It is best if you have this completed before you do the dives for Rescue Diver. We offer the Emergency First Response (EFR) that meets this requirement. During EFR you learn CPR, First Aid, AED use, and Care for Children. The classes are $80 including your manual and only take about 6 hours to complete. Check out the schedule to the right!
