Our Accelerated Lessons are perfect for those with tough schedules or who prefer the ultimate in instruction.
You complete your academics at home then join us for a private pool session of about 4 hours.
Then you complete all the openwater dives in just 2 days using one of our local dive sites. These are done with a private instuctor also. This gives us time to go over the top and even add in some advanced skills to your certification along with lots of personal attention. As such we do limit these to 2 students total.
These classes are limited to the summer months locally, June til September, due to water temperatures and the amount of time needed.

What to Expect
The PADI Open Water Scuba Class is where your SCUBA adventure begins. This is where students will learn the basics of how to stay safe underwater. There are 3 parts to learning to dive. Home study, academic and pool sessions, and open water training dives. Students get a manual and videos for home study or you can sign up for Online Academics. After the classroom and pool dives students will be able to jump in the open water!
Academic Instruction
When you sign up for class you will receive your student kit (books or online) so you can complete your home study, watch videos, and self test. Then you will review your home study with your instructor and review your tests. All of this is completed online. Then you are ready for your weekend of pool dives followed by a weekend openwater dives applying what you learned. When you come to scuba class you will need to bring your dive tables and log book. Plus you will need bathing suit, towel, mask, fins, and a snorkel. Scuba class/pool is on the weekends, Saturday 7:30-6.
Open Water Instruction
The third phase of your scuba classes involves 4 scuba dives in an open water environment. All 4 dives are completed in one weekend. During these scuba dives you will be repeating a few of the skills that you mastered during the pool dives and exploring the dive site with your Instructor Team. Scuba training dives are offered locally from May till October. Or, if you have a trip already planned, Island Hoppers can help you get the dives completed as part of your vacation!
